Take The Pledge for Mental Health!

The Pledge

Mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and others are silently killing people every day.

1 in 7 young people in our community struggle with mental illness.

CMHA Kelowna believes in a mentally healthy community – one where people aren’t afraid or embarrassed to ask for help. A community where the right help is available at the right time.

One of the biggest barriers we face is STIGMA that is perpetuated by SILENCE. We need your help to end the silence.

Take this pledge & share it via your social networks.

  • TALK openly to a loved one, friend or counselor about my mental health.
  • SHOW empathy and support to friends and family with mental health issues.
  • SHARE with friends and family members and #GETLOUD and commit to breaking the silence that keeps people from getting the help they need.

Talking helps to increase awareness, shows compassion and caring, and may save a life. If you are in crisis, please call 1.888.353.2273.

Don’t forget to use the hashtag #GETLOUD when you post.

For every pledge made, The Thomas Alan Budd Foundation will donate $1 to the Kelowna Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (to a maximum of $5000)
